Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP)By allowing the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to work in partnership with state and local interests to meet specific conservation objective, the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP) expands the effectiveness of the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). CREP utilizes federal and state resources to achieve long-term voluntary protection of environmentally sensitive cropland and pastureland. Water quality and wildlife habitats are improved and protected through the implementation of forested riparian buffers, grass filter strips, and wetland restoration.
